Most people come to a financial advisor and get a portfolio. At PlanFirst, you get a plan — and everything else follows from that.

I'm Joel Arsenault, a fee-only financial planner and the founder of PlanFirst, LLC. I started this practice because I believed there was a better way to work with people around money — one that starts with your life, your goals, and your specific situation, rather than with a product or a portfolio.

I hold the CPFA® and AAMS® designations, and I work exclusively as a fee-only advisor. That means I don't earn commissions, I don't sell products, and I have no financial incentive to recommend anything other than what's right for you. My only job is to help you build a plan that actually works.

Planning looks different for everyone. For some clients, it's preparing a business for the future.
